What Is Arctic Rose?
Hi! My name is Lena, I go by Kayori online basically everywhere. If you've ever played a browser game online, like Wartune and saw someone named Kayori it might have been me. Lol
I have been playing Tcg's since even before Trading Academy's original run back in 2005. Back then, I had a Free Webs hosted trade post, and my cards were all hosted on Photobucket, but I always checked the box to keep filenames intact when uploading them.
I've been around so long, that when Tcg's first started out all card images were in gif format.
I'm a Gackt & Gazette fan, so I used them for this awesome layout Aki made for me.
I love anime, but there are so many newer series that I still have yet to watch. But these are some series that will forever have my heart.
Angelique, Bleach, Cardcaptor Sakura, Cowboy Bebop, D.N.Angel, Death Note, Fruits Basket, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fushigi Yuugi, G Gundam, Gravitation, Gundam Wing, Harukanaru Toki no Naka de, Hellsing, InuYasha, Kuroshitsuji, Kyou Kara Moau, Loveless, Naruto, Ouran High School Host Club, Saint Seiya, Saiyuki, Shaman King, Slayers, Tennis no Oujisama, Tiger&Bunny, Trigun, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, Uta no Prince-sama, Yu Yu Hakusho.
What Is Arctic Rose?
Arctic Rose is something I made up years ago when I was in High School, maybe around when Tcg's first started becoming more popular. It was a rose encased in ice, and part of a story that I pieced together for the character I designed for myself. This character was of course, Kayori Ayane which I still use online to this day. She was the princess to the Fox Demon Kingdom, and I made her an Arctic Fox Demon. She's supposed to be the first of her kind.
The Arctic Rose itself I made the story to be that it was widely assumed to be an ancient relic of immense power. However many didn't realize it was actually Kayori who was the Arctic Rose. I had an image of it appearing on the back of my left shoulder in my mind, so that's where I decided it would show up on Kayori.
I also have an adorable red fox plush that I got on a National Park road trip with my mom when I was 18. I got him in Canada. When I was back home in Las Vegas, I finally decided on his name. I had borrowed the manga Wish from a friend, and chose the name of the demon character Kouryuu. Then later on, while watching/reading Saiyuki I found out that Kouryuu was the name given to Sanzo by his mentor when he was younger. So yay! I made Kouryuu a Fox Demon Mage, and decided he was the royal mage who worked with Kayori. At one point, I cut a really long piece of red yarn, folded it in half, and then wrapped it around his neck and tied the ends into a little bow like a collar. I literally haven't taken it off since then, only to readjust or fix it. XD
